What is microneedling, and what does it treat?
Microneedling is a procedure that helps to rejuvenate the skin. It uses a tiny with tiny needles on the end that prick your skin and create tiny wounds that your skin must heal. Your skin responds by producing collagen to repair it, which evens out the texture and causes it to thicken. Microneedling can treat imperfections ranging from acne scars to signs of aging.
What does the “RF” in the name stand for?
The RF refers to radio frequency, which helps to tighten and contour the skin, fighting against signs of aging.
Who is a good candidate for microneedling?
Anyone hoping to improve their skin can use it! The lack of heat makes it safe for acne, and it is even safe for darker skin tones, since the needles are insulated.
How painful is the procedure?
As long as the area is numb, it should be pretty much painless. There are people who opt for no numbing and still find it to be tolerable.
What do the needles feel like on your skin?
If you are numb, they shouldn’t feel like much of anything, but at the worst, expect tiny pricks.
What is the recovery process?
There really isn’t one. You’re free to go about your day, and any redness and sensitivity should fade within a few days. We just ask clients to avoid wearing makeup, touching their faces, or exercising for the rest of the day.
